Initially, i knew that freenas and nas4free were a single system until a part of FreeNAS was separated from it and has given rise to Nas4Free. Before there was only FreeNAS. Currently, however, Nas4Free is independent of FreeNAS and they evolved independently. So, there are differences between Nas4Free and FreeNAS.

In summary ..
I installed Nas4Free 10.2 just released on a PC specially assembled.
I wish my NAS Server also works as remote installation server. In this regard I have installed the extension of Alexey123 for the DHCP Server which works properly. Later I also activated the TFTP Service. I would like to ask if anyone could help me step by step for setting.

Thanks
G.

I am also interested.

I have the following configuration:
- a ADLS box which manage the dhcp, but no tftp option for boot. The range for dhcp is xxx.yyy.zzz.1 to 10
- I installed the extension from Axeley123 in order to have a dhcp for xxx.yyy.zzz.20 to 30, but I don't know how to configure it (same xxx.yyy.zzz than the ADSL box dhcp ?)

The purpose is that a computer can boot via pxe on thinstation installed on the nas (configuration file in the tftp repertory).

Any advice is welcome.

Today I am working on Axeley extension as I have some issue for installation.

you do not need to install AlexeyDHCP, only to configure your router as you can see in my post and copy necesary files to boot on pxe folder.

I really post all you need, please read from here: viewtopic.php?f=71&t=92#p5583

Unfortunetally the rooter of my ADSLbox cannot manage this: no otpion for tftp and for authorization of boot on tftp and no option of dns

My router has no specific options for network booting and in every case, for safety reasons, i'd prefer to use Nas4Free as a DHCP server and TFTP Server. I'd like to know how to set both services, where download and copy the necessary files to create a Remote Installation Server..
