NAS4Free 10.2.0.2.2064 and later provide syncthing (WebGUI).
You can share directories between any platform of NAS4Free and other OS.

Here is example of rpi2 and oc1 and x64.

GIGABYTE 5YASV-RH is actual working sub storage of x64-embedded.
MINIX H61-USB3 is Mellanox 10GbE test machine.
ODROID-C1 (oc1) is my current working machine for ARM versions.

How does it compare to Unison? On the Web some users complain about it. Syncthing tries to achieve to much at once and on occasion bogs down to a crawl speed. Any comments or advice?

UNISON & Syncthing are totally different approach & escenarios.

Syncthing is like oneDrive or DropBox , that create a share folder that you can sync withing several O.S. to have the same files on this machines (External folders=Not in the same machine)

UNISON is a well but old linux command to have local folders sync (In the same LAN)
12.0.0.4 - BETA (revision 6625)+OBI on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 12x3TB disk in 3 vdev in RaidZ1 = 32TB Raw size only 22TB usable

If I have a 16TB virtual HD (2x8drives RAID-0) in my main PC and a 5x4TB XigmaNAS server, which is the best way to permanently keep the two synchronized? On my virtual drive (PC), there will be only 2 folders: VIDEOS and PICTURES. Everytime I add new stuff on this drive I want it to "auto synchronize" with my NAS. Basically there must be a 1:1 copy of each other. I will never write stuff directly on my NAS. The. NAS is there only for backup purposes and to read the data 24/7.
Can this be implemented with UNISON or SYNCTHING?

I use freefilesync to manually sync at my choice, but unison can do the job.
