Like me on Supermicro X10SL7-F with onboard 2308 chipset we can upgrade the firmware to latest 20.00.07.00. version.

See
ftp://ftp.supermicro.com/driver/SAS/LSI ... rmware/IT/
System specs: XigmaNAS 11.2.0.4 -embedded on Samsung 860 EVO 256GB and Supermicro X10SL7-F w / Bios v3.2, IPMI v.03.84 / CPU E3-1241 v3 @ 3.50GHz - 32GB Crucial DDR3L 1600mhz ECC 1.35v , LSI 2308 on PH20.00.07.00 IT mode, Storage: 5x Western Digital Red (WD30EFRX) raidz

Development system is same system in virtualbox.

Some asked me how i did flash it. below are the steps.

Prepare usb key:
Copy content of extracted PH20.00.07.00-IT\IT\UEFI folder to usb key.

(I use IPMI remote console on desktop).

1. Boot with the usb key inserted and press F11
2. Now select: UEFI: Built-in EFI Shell
3. enter: fs0:
4. enter dir for the usb file list
now you should see the files you did copy to the usb key if correctly done. if not try: enter fs1:
5. enter: sas2flash.efi -listall and/or sas2flash.efi -list and note down last 9 digest of the sas address.
6. now enter SMC2308T.NSH , this will erase the rome and program it after, when done enter the last 9 digest you noted down.

thats all
