Hello,
I have old Optiplex 960 PC that runs later Xigmanas 11.3.x embedded version with 2 HDDs in mirror. It served me well for the past 3 years. Now I want to add 2 more HDDs and there is no room in the old machine. The plan is to upgrade the server to ThinkServer TS140 and move the 2 HDDs to new machine (2 more HDDs will be added later). New server will run same version of Xigmanas 11.3.x.
The question: is it possible to migrate the hardware without copying my backed-up data?
Thanks for help.

yes, you have no problem to move the disk and read the data on it on new hardware.
12.0.0.4 (revision 6766)+OBI on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 12x3TB disk in 3 vdev in RaidZ1 = 32TB Raw size only 22TB usable

Re: Migrating Xigmanas to ThinkServer TS140
That's great. Just to make sure I do everything correctly, here is my plan:
1. Save/backup configuration on old pc
2. Move 2 HDDs to new server
3. Install new embedded 11.3.x on new server
4. Restore configuration from file saved in step 1
Thank you!

my suggest: use 12.x instead 11.3.x
