Ouroborus wrote: Dec 17th, '20, 10:48 Hi!

A lot of strange things have happened around here since my last login!

Anyway, Transmission 3.00 doesn't seem to be working, at least for me. I can't connect to any trackers. The minute I revert back to an earlier version of Xigmanas without 3.00 (12.1.0.4.7728), it works immediately.
What is the new version doing differently? Or is it something else that is disturbing it's environment?
I tried Transmission 3.00 for Windows, and that seemed to be working well!

Best regards
Perhaps you are facing the same issue I did?
The certificates not being trusted.

My fix was to (re)install ca_root_nss and restart the service, then everything started working again.
Hi, i have some questions.

1. How can i reproduce this behave and errors
2. What type of install are you running, full or embedded?
3. What settings are used on webgui, http/https and what settings for service bittorent are exactly used.

I want to test with this torrent file:
https://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/cu ... so.torrent
1. I had the issue with all torrents added
2. Embedded
3. Https in xigmanas web gui, require encryption in transmission

UPDATE:
I have the same problems others have mentioned, my media player does not connect to the movie file folder in the settings and I wiped out my entire movie jukebox database (not the movie files). No worries, I can re-create if ZDMC database in a few minutes but I need access through SMB to do so. Oddly enough before I was trying things and wiped the database, ZDMC could still play the movies, just couldn't update the database. This implies SOME NAS access to files through SMB. BTW, I always had the "ntlm auth=yes" as additional parameters for SMB.

All of this is why I did not detect any issues initially with the new XigmaNAS update as I still could play movies, only later I detected issues when I added a movie and the database couldn't update. Going back to 7743.
With Samba 4.11, "server min protocol" and "client min protocol" are set to SMB2_02 by default. You should set them to "NT1 (CIFS)" on the SMB settings page.
Thank you ms49434. I added "server min protocol=NT1" under Additional Parameters and upgraded to version 7854 (it carried over in the configuration, of course). Tried all my media player access (Zidoo and other cheap players with Realtek chips) and everything worked.

Maybe later versions of the OS' in these media players (now-a-day it's usually Android) will have up-to-date versions of SMB in them, like SMBv2 and beyond instead of various flavors of SMBv1. I am hoping my soon-to-arrive SkyStream PRO 8K Streaming media player will be more updated and cover more video variations. I've had and tried nearly a dozen players over the years and none of them would play as much as VLC (although even VLC doesn't play 100% of video files). *Sigh!*

I just now updated to .7894, after the reboot I still have the problem.
The daemon log gets full of this:
Scrape error: Could not connect to tracker (announcer.c:1392)

After reinstalling the ca_root_nss, and a restart of the transmission service it all works again

Installed packages to be REINSTALLED:
ca_root_nss-3.58

Number of packages to be reinstalled: 1

Proceed with this action? [y/N]: y
[1/1] Reinstalling ca_root_nss-3.58...
[1/1] Extracting ca_root_nss-3.58: 100%
You may need to manually remove /usr/local/etc/ssl/cert.pem if it is no longer needed.

Same thing happens to me XigmaNAS 12.1.0.4 (7854) after reboot or after I shut down I need to re install ca_root.
Should I have to do something else .

ok, read how embedded works and how packages are installed on it ( on RAM) so are loses on reboot.
https://www.xigmanas.com/wiki/doku.php? ... tation:faq

There are several options to override this.

the easy way is to do a full install ( ZFSonRoot are recomended).

If not possible for you, try to copy desired files using posinit in webGUI

Well, I do understand the limitations of the embedded installation.
To me it seems to be a workaround and not a fix, since the reinstallation of the package gets everything working again.
Could be as easy as there is an outdated package still used to build the installation files?
I have not checked the version of the package I overwrite. Perhaps I do it at a later time.
