The Server computers for home-use do not have CD/DVDs installed.

I have noticed embedded upgrade often fail for me but found my own work around.

For me it seams to be working better, I download the new firmware, then create a backup, next I reset the server to defaults

after it reboots I go to the default page and upgrade firmware, wait for the second reboot and upload my settings file.

anyone else notice this or is it just me ?

I think it depends a lot on used hardware and/or installed extensions yes/no
I flash a lot, but my embedded install uses an Samsung SSD in the first place, not an usb on a port.

maybe try another usbkey brand or use upgrade to a newer ssd in case you have a sata port left.
