Update without problem, I test this V12 since 17/12/2018 and I find it an exceptional stability, especially ZFS features with the use of memory is exceptional, after being mounted to the maximum allowed by the configuration this stabilizes around 30% of the memory space.

Unable to download anything from SF. The stupid "Your download will start shortly..." counter just does not move.

SF issue, plan B is to click on "Problems Downloading?", then select "Direkt Link".

Installed now. Saw something about dhclient invalid pid file on boot. Looking at /etc/rc.d/dhclient, it's supposed to be in /var/run/dhclient/ but that directory doesn't exist.

Not PiHole, but DNS-based blocking, yes... disabling that did not help, though. Worked until now with SF. When I looked at the amount of tracking and snooping JS junk via F12 console it reminded me once again that SF sucks big time.

There is a small error displaying the syslog (see pictures below).
system-log-output-error-1.jpg
system-log-output-error-2.jpg
Not sure if this is a common error, maybe it happened in my environment after exporting/importing XNAS VM and then upgrading.

Hello, non sure if anyone noticed issues with TFTP rc error during shutdown, this prevent TFTP from starting at all:

Screenshot:
Screenshot from 2019-04-08 12-30-12.png

This has been fixed in Rev6626 ,but users that can't wait for an upgrade can overcome this by simply adding the extra [ ' ] in line #42 after -c on /etc/rc.d/tftpd, for example:

From this:

Code: Select all

--output ' -c \
To this:

Code: Select all

--output ' -c' \
Embedded users need to replace file on PostInit or SED.

Pakg tool is working fine here wen installing iocage and deps in latest beta, between it has to be with some cert issue as per see, seems harmless though.

Here tested a video capture of virtual machine console and noticed a couple of errors during playback.
Each of them is repeated twice (so two screenshots).

    cannot-open-or-create-pidfile-2.jpg
  2. Invalid argument (if System > Advanced Setup > Platform and Performance Settings > Tuning option is enabled)

I spot a bug in the RootOnZFS Platform upgrade progress, loader.conf is overwritten, this files should be backed up and restored by the rc.firmware and updates performed by sysrc when needed.

However unless the user have customized this files this is non-noticeable and harmless.

I re-add backup for this files and sent fix before the new installer supporting full GELI encryption is requested to be added into base.

Sorry inconveniences.

EDIT: This has been fixed as of Revision 6650

Uhm, I'd say the goal is to get this out of beta very soon, tracking FreeBSD upstream, not some experimental, completely untested third-party (iXsystems) stuff.

Hello, you can always check for zoon's test builds if you are willing to test on your own.

Always read the README attached file before any upgrade attempt as always, especially RootOnZFS users since several changes has been made.

There is a small error displaying the syslog (see pictures below).

Not sure if this is a common error, maybe it happened in my environment after exporting/importing XNAS VM and then upgrading.

Confirmation is required
can confirm it's still an issue with r6766. this breaks syslog-ng parsing on my logging server too.

Getting

Code: Select all

pkg: POST-INSTALL script failed
on installing anything via pkg... Does not seem exactly right.

Pakg tool is working fine here wen installing iocage and deps in latest beta, between it has to be with some cert issue as per see, seems harmless though.
Yes, I've gotten the same message for years when I do certain pkg upgrades - ignore it.
