Tried the new build, both full and embedded with 2 different microSD cards, with both etcher and win32disk imager.

Running off a solid 3A power supply.

Last year build boots up fine, but those 2 new builds aren't passing firing up the network activity leds on my BPi-M1+

Am I the only one?

Hi
I download embedded image and check it on my board
1. Extract downloaded with 7zip
2. Complete clean SD card (I have 8G, but build must work from 4 G) with Minitool Partition Wizard
3. Write SD card with Win32diskimager and insert it into bananaPi
4 Connect serial console. Attention! Serial console ALL ARMs work with 3V signals.
I buy this usb-to-serial
I use Putty as serial terminal with speed 115200 bod. I plan reduce speed of console in future
5. Connect ethernet cable

I attach bootlog

At first boot arm building must resize data mmcsd0s3 partition for CF size. After resize operation complete, boot interrupt, bananapi begin reboot procedure

All arm images will have msdos partition, mounted read-only at /boot/msdos. I put into msdos partition tarball for build jail.

I upload Raspberry Pi3(b) version of Xigmanas, full in this time.

https://sourceforge.net/projects/nas4fr ... pberryPi3/

In this time not included
virtualization ports : bhyve and grub2-bhyve libvncserver phpvirtualbox open-vm-tools vbox vbox-additions vmxnet3
e2fsprogs
scponly
syncthing
unison ----- this ports currently cannot be compile for aarch64

Also in this time not work Xigmanas console menu, because text php with tui.inc not want work at Raspberry pi3
I don't know why and where console configured not properly, may be uboot, maybe at loader.efi
work only 6 ) Shell
I not disable menu, I plan repair it.

For give system work I define default network setting as DHCP
Console run at 115200 bod

Also not work RaspberryPI3 wifi - FreeBSD driver not ready.
Bluetooth- disabled at config.txt, ---> conflict with console.

Msdos partition default mount as /boot/msdos
Swap partition - /dev/mmcsd0s2b

IMPORTANT
Because Raspberry PI have not power management unit please stop server by command

Code: Select all

shutdown -h now

For some obscur reasons when I plugged my TTL cable, it worked... got network flashing and works like a charm!

nice!!! Thanks... completely forgot about TTL troubleshooting too.

Sadly, still no SATA port multiplier :(

Tried to install XigmaNAS-bpi-embedded-SD-12.0.0.4.6383 on a Banana Pi M1. Wrote the image with Win32Diskimager to 16 GB SD-Card.
HDMI connected to TV shows booting, but after the FreeBSD sign only garbage on the screen. Device is rebooting after a few minutes and screen shows again booting until FreeBSD sign.
Network connection not possible - even with a notebook set to a fixed IP of 192.168.1.20.
How can I set the IP and configure the system?
alexey123 would you mind to help me?

Kind regards

Its true.
Like photo on post https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/bana ... ost-300680 ?
FreeBSD not work properly with arm video cards. For manage arm boards please use serial console
I use https://www.mouser.co.il/ProductDetail/ ... Gsw1tBt58=
https://www.seeedstudio.com/CH340G-USB- ... -2359.html
It can switch to 3V mode very simple - by jumper
Device is rebooting after a few minutes and screen shows again booting until FreeBSD sign.
Also true.
Xigmanas image prebuild for adopt system to your flash. During first boot system resize data partition for maximum size of SD flash
Network connection not possible - even with a notebook set to a fixed IP of 192.168.1.20.
You must observe network led activity.

In all case you must connect serial console
For bananaPI you must use connector J11 on attached picture and gnd from J10

Signals must have 3V levels

Success!!! :D
Bought this device https://www.amazon.com/HiLetgo-CP2102-C ... op?ie=UTF8
That made it for me.
Only strange thing is, I had to switch RXD and TXD. :?
Alexey, as you promised, I could see the complete booting process via Putty. After resizing of the partitions I could assume an IP within my IP range and access via web gui.
Thank you for assistance!
Maybe you could bake an image in the future that directly sets the IPconfig to dhcp. This would allow users without USB-TTL device to get access via web gui.
Best regards

BB
