Do I need ACtive Directory ?

#1

Post by drnicolas » 01 Nov 2014 17:54

Nice Question ?

My NAS4Free is at the moment memver of a Win 2008R2 domain.
I have several problems with this as SOME machines can't read or brows the contents of the shares (Those machines can see the shared but cannot dive into them.

So I am thinking of taking the NAS4Free away from the domain.

Can this cure my problems ?
How do I do this ?
Do I have access problems later ?

I need to access the shares with domain-accounts, but there is actually no need to limit access to some users.
