cannot delete files

I 'm trying to delete files on my smb share but I keep getting this error how do i give myself the permissions?

The file probably has been downloaded using transmission on your NAS, so user transmission is the owner of the file.

You need to add user transmission to a group that you use to comunicate to SMB in webGUI

try to add to wheel :

Yes the file was downloaded using transmission.
I believe i did try that, I added transmission to the group field of the user that was accessing the smb share and that did not seem to work for me. However I did create a directory for incomplete downloads for transmission and after I did that it seemed to let me delete and new files that I downloaded after it was created although I'm not sure why that would make the difference
