Mount points merge to one or shortcuts possible ?

#1

Post by ptpstudio » 12 Dec 2016 10:25

Now I know how to a point anonymous users to specific folder like mnt/ftp using commands. But I have 4 disks all have specific mount points then I need anonymous ftp users to see only 3 mount points and one will be hidden from them. How I can do this? Is there any options to use shortcuts like in windows or how I can do this ? Anybody please help ?

why do you need hidden? if they cant access it does it matter?

you could create 3 soft links in their home directory.
Nas4Free 11.1.0.4.4517. Supermicro X10SLL-F, 16gb ECC, i3 4130, IBM M1015 with IT firmware. 4x 3tb WD Red, 4x 2TB Samsung F4, both GEOM AES 256 encrypted.

Of course they are in same directory. Permissions for links are same as for files and folders what anonymous see.Or How to check if anonymous have permissions to symlinks?

try using "mount_nullfs" - works for me!

Code: Select all

/sbin/mount_nullfs -o ro /mnt/tankX/xxx/ /mnt/ssd/ftp/userX/xxx/
then set Homedirectory for userX "mnt/ssd/ftp/userX"

can't get it running with symlinks...
