User only in his folder. SFTP.

#1

Post by wiseflowIII »

Good afternoon. I am trying to adjust SFTP on my server. With SMB there is no problem, but with SFTP I can connect but the user accesses the whole system. I have tried and searched a thousand things, but I can't get it.

Can someone help me?
I have created a "Pool" and for each user I have a "Datasheet". I want a user "X" to access only his "Datasheet" by SFTP.

Please help.
PS: I have searched and read and none of the solutions work for me.
Thank you.

Please read this thread. It shows how to use the match user option.

I've already read it but it doesn't solve my problem. I've already changed permissions and it still doesn't work.

Check the log (Diagnostics > Log > SSH), most of the time it is a permission issue.

Can someone tell me the correct steps to isolate the user folder? I can't use concrete instructions without a context.
Thanks

There is plenty of documentation available on the internet.
Please provide your configuration (ssh setup, folder structure, folder and subfolder ownership and access rights) to get proper support.
