NFS disable sync

Post by glherriott » 21 Nov 2018 14:57

Hi There,

First post!

I'm currently setting up a system using XCP-NG Xenserver as my hypervisor running 8 hosts. I then have 2 x Xigmanas boxes with 8 SATA disks each which I am sharing to Xenserver over NFS as shared storages to install my VM guests to. I've been looking around to try and speed up the I/O to the disks over NFS as and have increased my MTU on the NICS and ramped up the NFS servers but I'm still struggling to get above 200Mbits/s. I then came across some advice that I should turn off synchronisation on the NFS server but I cannot for the life of me find out where to do this?!

Any clues would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance :)
