Automatic generation of playlists

Post by ku-gew »

I would like to generate automatically playlists per each directory found inside the ùmedia folders pecified. Is it possible or should I generate m3u files by myself? I understand that they would be converted in playlist for the clients.
This latter option is not preferable because I'm setting up a NAS for my family and I cannot easily ask them to make m3u files every time they upload a folder of audio files.
Thank you

I bet you could find a perl/shell/python script that could be run as a cron job that generates m3u files from new folders
