Greek translation for quixplorer available

#1

Post by ChriZathens » 31 Oct 2012 11:44

Dear Greek users....
Here is the translation for Quixplorer (File manager) The updated attachment is in 5th post
What you need to do if you want it (I hope that since it is now available devs will include it in future N4F release):
In order to make Greek available for selection, you must edit file /usr/local/www/quixplorer/_lang/_info.php (Do it via console, not file manager)
In that file you will see

Code: Select all

	$lang = array(
		'en'		=> 'English',
		'enutf8' 	=> 'English (UTF-8)',
		'bg'		=> 'Bulgarian',
		'cs'		=> 'Czech',
		'da'		=> 'Dansk',
		'de'		=> 'Deutsch',
		'es'		=> 'Espaρol',
		'fr'		=> 'Franηais',
		'it'		=> 'Italiano',
		'ja'		=> 'Japanese',
		'nl'		=> 'Nederlands',
		'pl'		=> 'Polski',
		'ptbr'		=> 'Portuguκs - Brasil',
		'ro'		=> 'Romβnγ',
		'ru'		=> 'RussiaN'
	);
Right after line

Code: Select all

		'de'		=> 'Deutsch',
in a new line write this

Code: Select all

	'el'		=> 'Greek',
The final result must be this:

Code: Select all

	$lang = array(
		'en'		=> 'English',
		'enutf8' 	=> 'English (UTF-8)',
		'bg'		=> 'Bulgarian',
		'cs'		=> 'Czech',
		'da'		=> 'Dansk',
		'de'		=> 'Deutsch',
		'el'		=> 'Greek',
		'es'		=> 'Espaρol',
		'fr'		=> 'Franηais',
		'it'		=> 'Italiano',
		'ja'		=> 'Japanese',
		'nl'		=> 'Nederlands',
		'pl'		=> 'Polski',
		'ptbr'		=> 'Portuguκs - Brasil',
		'ro'		=> 'Romβnγ',
		'ru'		=> 'RussiaN'
	);
Save/close the file (The edited _info.php is also attached here)
You also need to copy two files(also attached) in folder /usr/local/www/quixplorer/_lang/: el.php and el_mimes.php
You are done!

WARNING:If for any reason you need to edit the translated files, you must make sure that you use a proper editor (windows notepad is no good.. - I use Notepad++, free, google it) and you MUST make sure that the file is saved in format UTF8 without BOM. If you fail to do this, Greek will transform to hieroglyphics... ;)

Hi,

It looks great. May I use it with NAS4Free licence?
Currently, NAS4Free uses Simplified BSD (aka 2-clause license, FreeBSD license).

I see that zoon has added a greek language in filemanager but I don't think it is the correct one...
http://nas4free.svn.sourceforge.net/vie ... athrev=418
I can't be really sure, since this is how I see it...
gr.jpg
But in the correct one the data format is changed to

Code: Select all

$GLOBALS["date_fmt"] = "d/m/Y H:i";
and in the screenshot is is not...

OK, I just managed to see the files ( using option "as text") and it is not the one I created lol.
You can use mine, since its terms are more consistent with the rest of the n4f translation..
If you decide to do so please use the one attached in this post since it includes a minor fix

This weekend I managed to update to .457 version
I tried to open file manager in Greek but it was showing hieroglyphics... :cry:
I thought that perhaps the files were not saved as UTF8 without BOM, like I posted, so I downloaded el.php to check it and it was correctly saved... :shock:
In my previous setup (the one I translated the files from) I save the files as UTF8 without BOM and they were showing just fine. But now they are not!
I also checked Russian and it has the same problem (I don't know Russian but I know that they need utf8 to display correctly)
Could you please look into this?

P.S.: I already tried to convert the files as utf8 (not without BOM) and as ANSI. Nothing changed...
The only way to display properly is to change page encoding to utf from the view-->character encoding menu on my internet browser (firefox 16.0.2). But this must be done to every page you visit..
Could you please look into this problem???
Thanks!!!
