Upgraded my friend's system from 10.3.0.3 (revision 2870) to 6195 by fresh install and restore config.

Since then getting lots of system logs like this:

Code: Select all

Nov 17 16:32:21	nas4free	last message repeated 16 times

Nov 17 16:22:42	nas4free	kernel: pid 2320 (minidlnad), uid 933 inumber 277 on /: filesystem full

Nov 17 16:22:36	nas4free	kernel: pid 2320 (minidlnad), uid 933 inumber 24774 on /: filesystem full
and minidlna logs like this:

Code: Select all

2018/11/17 20:33:26	sql	SQL ERROR 11 [database disk image is malformed]
2018/11/17 20:33:26	sql	SQL ERROR 11 [database disk image is malformed]
2018/11/17 20:33:26	playlist	Parsing playlists...
2018/11/17 20:33:26	sql	SQL ERROR 11 [database disk image is malformed]
2018/11/17 20:33:26	sql	SQL ERROR 11 [database disk image is malformed]
Should I disable minidlna through the GUI, delete the files.db and restart? Or is there something else wrong here?

Thanks

filesystem full = need to define MiniDLNA & SQL DDBB outside the boot device ( create a dataset in your data drives to do it if you use ZFS).

PD: Revise too that XigmaNAS new have MariaDB included by default, so no need to install SQL for your side.
XigmaNAS 11.2.0.4 - Omnius (revision 6195)+OBI on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 12x3TB disk in 3 vdev in RaidZ1 = 32TB Raw size only 22TB usable

Many thanks.

I will check these things but it won't be for a few days.

Because I can't get to my friend's server for a few days, I thought I would experiment on my own system which was recently upgraded to 6195 (via fresh install and config restore - I was on 6026 prior to that).

minidlna wasn't enabled on my system so I enabled it, configured it and clicked Apply. However, the page stays in edit mode, instead of gong back and showing the page with the Rescan button. I'm certain that works on my friend's system though.

Any suggestions?

Uncheck System > Advanced Setup, Skip View Mode - Enable this option if you want to edit configuration pages directly without the need to switch to edit mode.

Thank you, once again, ms49434.

I had completely forgotten about that option. Must be age taking its toll. :-(
