(SOLVED)miniDLNA stops after a short period - 11.1.0.4 - Atomics (Revision 5321)

Dear all,
searching the forum did not help, so I post a new topic.

I have installed my NAS with version 11.1.0.4 (on a 4 GB USB stick, I use an atom processor board with 2 GB memory) and two WD 3TB red hard disks (softRAID), CIFS/SMB is enabled and I can access from all PCs to the data (no extra users defined) without problems.
Everything is running fine and stable (memory usage 60 %, swap 12 %).

Now, I have set-up miniDLNA (root dir of the shared data), it is counting up all files (mp3, photo, movies, a total of approx. 60.000 files) on the status page, during that period I can access the files on my TV (also two green ticks under status/services). I see also the files.db (190 MB).

However, when it is finished with counting, it stops and the right green tick turns to a red dash, also the status page is no more accessible. When stopping/restarting the service, it happens again after a few minutes. Under diagnose/log it only says "root: minidlna service started".

Any hints? Thanks!

Thanks for your quick reply.
Successfully updated to 5403, restarted server and minidlna service - the same problem continues! :-(

try to test a small folder ( small number of files).

I notice that some files do not like to minidlna, and you need to identify.

My suggest is to start sharing by miniDLNA only video files and not to much, and add more folders each test to iddentify the problematic folder.

raulfg3,
thanks for your hint, I have just tried this with sharing a single folder containing photos only and it looks like minidlna is working for now (uptime 15 mins).
Any information on which files (name, type, size, total number, folder names [german umlaute], ...) may cause problems or on other restrictions / limitations of minidlna?
I will add more folders and try to identify what caused the problem, then I will post results here once available.

other times for me the problem are the localized characters like "ñ" or "ç" and some accented characters too like ò or ó

OK - the problem seems solved!
Thanks for your help.
I have put more and more folders to the minidlna share, until it is hosting all my photo/video/audio folders, but I skipped all data folders etc.
By now, it is working for more than two days!

I will try to mark this topic as "solved", if I do not succed, can someone please do so? THX
