list of command?

#1

Post by shmish » 24 Jun 2012 18:45

Hi,

Is there a good list of commands that I can use via SSH for NAS4Free? I had to move my NAS and it's no longer connected to a monitor. I can temporarily move a monitor to it, but I can also use putty remotely. Right now I want to look at and change some upnp settings. Is this possible by remote, or do I need to get into the webgui?

thanks

You could change the config settings by hand and then manually restart the service, all by command line over ssh. But why not just connect to the webgui and do it so that the settings stay in sync with the gui settings? My box is always headless and I just administrate it from a web browser on my laptop. :)

Oh yeah, what was I thinking!?
I've been running freenas for so long, I haven't thought about it much. I was thinking about the situation if I was not on my home network, but that's not the case. I am home... lol.

thanks.
