[HOWTO] add more logs to Diagnostics|Log

#1

Post by raulfg3 » 04 Sep 2016 11:24

Well this is a patch to the Diagnostics|Log WebGUI to show aditional log files ( in my case mlnet.log), but you can use to see other log.

This method have a great disavantage that is thar dissapear when you upgrade your N4F version ( if you upgrade N4F, files are updated by installer and this patch dissapear), but well, perhaps is usefull for your needs.

Steps:

Locate file /usr/local/www/diag_log.inc and edit it,

locate this line:

Code: Select all

$fuppes_logfile = rc_getenv_ex("fuppes_logfile", "{$g['varlog_path']}/fuppes.log");

copy & paste This line in a line below ( insert line):

Code: Select all

$mlnet_logfile = rc_getenv_ex("mlnet_logfile", "{$g['varlog_path']}/mlnet.log");
add this piece of code ( I add near of UPNP section for order preference).

Code: Select all

array(
		"visible" => TRUE,
		"desc" => gettext("MLDonkey"),
		"logfile" => $mlnet_logfile,
		"filename" => "mldonkey.log",
		"type" => "plain",
		"pattern" => "/^(.*)$/",
		"columns" => array(
			array("title" => gettext("Event"), "class" => "listlr", "param" => "", "pmid" => 1)
		)),
Save file.

Done, you can reload page and must work

PD: Atached are the patched file for comparation pourpouses.

I really aprfeciate this way to add logs that is supported by OS and do not dissapear on updates like described on my first post.

Hello Raul,

I really aprfeciate this way to add logs that is supported by OS and do not dissapear on updates like described on my first post.
Since I already realized it similar for eGUI => user defined logs (at the bottom of this post) I will propose this implementation to the devs soon, hope they will decide to include it into the firmware ...

Best regards
