[solved] ability to make root ".history" permanent?

#1

Post by lux » 25 Feb 2018 13:24

Hi All!

is it possible to make the root ".history" permanent - like "clog_logdir" or "rsync_*_logfile"?

Few Years ago i used a small "hack" with a symlink to do this - but worked no more since 1 Year or so...

now i tried a new "hack" with save the actual ".history" File on any reboot to my USB Stick with restore after boot - but this works even not :|

a new "rc.conf" option in the WebGUI to make the actual root history permanent were very nice!!

Greetings from Germany
Michael

Actually it does work with a very simple command script:
192.168.0.44_system_rc.php.png

Code: Select all

enable:	yes
name:	histfile
value:	echo "set histfile = /mnt/p1/history" >> /root/.cshrc
type:	preinit
