request nic status under cpu status

#1

Post by octave » 23 Sep 2018 22:07

Hi all

Is that possible to have under system information after login, sort of status of network interfaces
one ligne by interface name(surname) network port (igb0... em0..., wlan..., vlan0..., carp0.., lagg0..., bridge0..., status (carrie, no carrie, trouble, error,...)

i thinks that will be easy to see directly a trouble or work find, like with cpu status or hdd state.

is that a stupid idea ?

Thx all

have a look at Status > Interfaces, it's already there and provides even more information.

yes, but we need to move to menu panel

if we could see it after login, like cpu status and like ram or hdd, it will be easily to observe in one eye all information. and if we have to change any params or to do any physical action on i, we could hearlyest that if we have to surch information in any submenu isn't it ?

thx

I'm sorry octave, i say no to this idea.
I think the most important information is there already on index.php.
We are pretty detailed there without creating a large busy over-detailed webgui that is harder to read.

I like to keep it that way for now.
System specs: XigmaNAS 11.2.0.4 -embedded on Samsung 860 EVO 256GB and Supermicro X10SL7-F w / Bios v3.2, IPMI v.03.77 / CPU E3-1241 v3 @ 3.50GHz - 32GB Crucial DDR3L 1600mhz ECC 1.35v , LSI 2308 on PH20.00.07.00 IT mode, Storage: 5x Western Digital Red (WD30EFRX) raidz

Development system is same system in virtualbox.
