Hi

My NAS4Free is busy resilvering my ZFS raid array (6,2).

It all seems to be working via the web interface but on the display output the are error messages like;

(da3:twa0:0:3:0) SCSI sense: HARDWARE FAILURE asc:8,1 (Logical unit communication timeout)
(da3:twa0:0:3:0): Retrying command (per sense data)
twa0: ERROR: (0x04 0x0009): Drive timeout detected: port=4
twa0: ERROR: (0x04 0x0009): Drive timeout detected: port=4
twa0: ERROR: (0x04 0x0009): Drive timeout detected: port=4
twa0: ERROR: (0x04 0x0009): Drive timeout detected: port=4
twa0: ERROR: (0x04 0x0009): Drive timeout detected: port=4
twa0: Request 105 timed out!
twa0: INFO (0x16: 0x1108): Resetting controller...:
twa0: INFO (0x04: 0x005E): Cache synchronised after power fail: unit =0
twa0: INFO (0x04: 0x005E): Cache synchronised after power fail: unit =1
twa0: INFO (0x04: 0x005E): Cache synchronised after power fail: unit =2
twa0: INFO (0x04: 0x005E): Cache synchronised after power fail: unit =3
twa0: INFO (0x04: 0x005E): Cache synchronised after power fail: unit =4
twa0: INFO (0x04: 0x001): COntroller reset occurred: resets = 8
twa0: ERROR: (0x04 0x000A) Drive error detected: unit=3, port=4
twa0: ERROR: (0x04 0x0009): Drive timeout detected: port=4

Please could someone advice as to what this means and what I can try to remedy it?

Many thanks

Is da3 the drive that is being resilvered? If not: It looks like da3, which is on port 4, is having trouble. If the resilver is proceeding normally, let it finish. Then replace da3 and start another resilver.

If da3 on port 4 is the drive being resilvered right now, then report back on that.
