How to cancel long smart test?

#1

Post by m119k » 18 Apr 2019 21:55

Started a bunch of these on my discs, then realised I needed to copy files over and its going at 11mb/s

Shell
[root@freenas ~]# smartctl -X da0
smartctl 6.5 2016-05-07 r4318 [FreeBSD 10.3-STABLE amd64] (local build)
Copyright (C) 2002-16, Bruce Allen, Christian Franke, www.smartmontools.org

da0: Unable to detect device type
Please specify device type with the -d option.

What am I doing wrong?

Cheers

Thanks, did that, worked, but the files are still only going at 10mb/s, is there anyway to see if/whats going on with the server to cause this? I was getting 100+ before the smart tests started.
