USB 3 Controller - Updated Options

#1

Post by nasrocks »

I know it has been mentioned in another post that the SilverStone SST-ECU01 works with Xigmanas but that card is hard to find.

Anyone else using a PCI USB 3 card in their Xigmanas box that works well?

Thanks

I know this is an old thread but I finally got around to getting the working on a Dell R510.

I bought one of theses used on Ebay.

Startech 4-Port PCI Express USB 3.0 Card PEXUSB3S42

It was a plug and play installation.

Xigmanas found it right away. usbus0: 5.0Gbps Super Speed USB v3.0.

In the Dell R510 there is not a way to power this board to the SATA Power (15 pin) Plug but the board itself does not need the power to work.

This should make by backups quicker
