Can't set static IP for XigmaNAS servers

#1

Post by devfromjokela »

Hello!

I have two servers running XigmaNAS.

I can't set Static IP. While using DHCP, I enter to Web GUI using non-static IP address, I set Static IP and fill Network settings.

Then Rebooting servers.

On startup, server hangs on:
Waiting for 192.168.0.254 to respond to ICMP Ping.

192.168.0.254 is Router.

If someone can help me, it will save me so much time.

(I can't get logs, because after the hang on, it boots and can't connect to network, and get logs)

Do you save the lan configuration at the bottom left?

Have you installed an embedded or full version?

You did not stay on a live usb or live cd?

Perhaps you forgot to assign a lan interface - console menu 1 .

If I set static IP, do I need to set manually LAN Interface? Or is it setting it automatically?

You must define interface in first. Before IP.

Hello,

After some time using FreeNAS I decided to switch to XigmaNAS, same problem is occurring. This time I assigned interfaces. It only works using DHCP.

remember to do steps in order (from CLI=Shell menu).

1 define interface ( LAN & OPT)
2 reboot
3 assing Ip ( Static or DHCP).

if you use this steps, must works.
