[solved]DNS resolves, but no route/connection?

Hi all,
Need some help!
My Nas4Free has been working fairly well on my 'new' mobo (An old ASUS A8N-SLI DELUXE) with two builtin NICs: the nVidia chipset based nfe0 and a Marvel onboard one, called sk0! I'm using the nVidia-based nfe0, and have disabled sk0 on web admininstration site

Trouble is, I cant get the Nas4free box to connect to the internet properly. I've tried different DNS hosts, like 208.67.222.222 and googles 8.8.8.8, plus my gateways/routers dns, but to no avail.
Pinging google resolves the IP adress nicely, but theres no routing. My box works nicely on LAN and can connect/ping to/from all devices on lan!
elinks doesnt connect to anything and just sits there. Here's a traceroute example:

Code: Select all

nas4free:~# traceroute google.com
traceroute: Warning: google.com has multiple addresses; using 173.194.32.36
traceroute to google.com (173.194.32.36), 64 hops max, 52 byte packets

2 * *traceroute: sendto: Host is down
traceroute: wrote google.com 52 chars, ret=-1

traceroute: sendto: Host is down
 3 traceroute: wrote google.com 52 chars, ret=-1
 *traceroute: sendto: Host is down

traceroute: wrote google.com 52 chars, ret=-1
 *traceroute: sendto: Host is down

I've tried several reboots, to no avail!
What could be the problem? Probably really lame, easy solution, but I'm blinded! :)

Thanks in Advance,
Gabriel Hansen

also, I might add, I have no problems connecting IN FROM outside, through gatway/NATs designed portforwards. It's just from the box to the outside, that is somehow blocked. I can't use pkg_add -r, Nor does elinks or anything else work

Having both ethernet ports occupied doesnt exactly help routing..... sorry for wasting your time!
