Interesting choice, im currently using a trendnet switch I got a couple of months ago for about 150$ with a nice rebate. Its the TEG-240WS http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... =TEG-240WS

So far its been running good, but I just recently built my nas4free server with 4 cards in a Lagg. I noticed since I refreshed the counters 4 days ago, I have received 2 RxErrors on one particular port. I'm not particularly worried about it since the number is so low, but something to note since I was thinking of buying another one of the same models. Just for reference I am running iscsi to 2x vmware servers and I am running SMB2/CIFS on this server. No VLANs as of yet to segregate traffic which may be something I will need to work on eventually.

At home i have 2x Cisco Cisco Systems SG 100D-08 and one Cisco SD2005, unmanaged gigabit switches which support jumbo frames.

Cheap but very decent.

I test it, But actually I do not have LACP because I do not notice any Troughput improvements.

LACP is notice only in Small office scenario when several clients try to use the LAN at same time.

For my home scenario, only copy from / TO NAS is not usefull ( SMB is not multi-thread), and files are copied one after one, so I revert to a normal connection using only one NIC .

But if you send me your print screnn , perhaps can help you to configure.

I have been checking this , and you do not get any improvments as long as it it between 2 machines.
LACP benefits how switch is designed as more work it gets from clients you will see improvements

Here is a an explain.

If you are just transferring between 2 addresses that conversation will only flow down a single port within that port channel , thats the way port channels work . As you get more inputs from different addresses then the port channels will be more evened out due to the way the switch hashes the traffic from different sources down each port in the port channel . A single given conversation will only go down a single port .
