[SOLVED] - please tell me my data is still there

I upgraded from FreeNAS 7.2, and tried to upgrade the embedded NAS4free NAS4Free-x64-LiveCD-9.1.0.1.573 from the iso.
I had a software RAID 1 (mirror) UFS under FreeNAS. The import / upgrade of the config files seemed to work ok.
When I start NAS4Free, it shows the two disks under Disk Management, and lists them as SoftRaid. They are not listed under Disks Software Raid, nor are they mounted.
I vaguely remember seeing something about the device names being renamed during the upgrade.

The are now ada0 and ada1, when I believe they were ad5 and ad6 under FreeNAS.
I have a backup of both the freeNAS and NAS4free config files.

If I go to Disks - software raid - raid 1 - and create a new one with those two disks as the providers, and then go to info, I see

Software RAID information and status
Geom name: 2TBMIRROR
State: COMPLETE
Components: 1
Balance: round-robin
Slice: 4096
Flags: NONE
GenID: 1
SyncID: 3
ID: 2662864982
Providers:
1. Name: mirror/2TBMIRROR
Mediasize: 2000398933504 (1.8T)
Sectorsize: 512
Stripesize: 4096
Stripeoffset: 0
Mode: r0w0e0
Consumers:
1. Name: ada1
Mediasize: 2000398934016 (1.8T)
Sectorsize: 512
Stripesize: 4096
Stripeoffset: 0
Mode: r1w1e1
State: ACTIVE
Priority: 0
Flags: NONE
GenID: 1
SyncID: 3
ID: 3113727603

but then when I go to disks - mount point - add, I get the following:
type: Disk
disk: 2TBMIRROR
partition type: MBR
File System: UFS

The following input errors were detected:
Wrong partition type or partition number.
/dev/mirror/2TBMIRRORs1: Can't get UFS ID.
dumpfs: /dev/mirror/2TBMIRRORs1: could not find special device

Please help me get my data back. Here is the report generated from the GUI:

I may have solved it myself. The issue was I was trying to select MBR partition if you want to mount a UFS formatted drive or do imported disks from other OS. when in fact I should have been selecting EFI GPT partition

it's confusing, especially because the Mirror is UFS.
