Script to shutdown SabNZBD /dev/null does not work?

#1

Post by infinion »

Hi Guys,

On Freenas i had a script running on shutdown to stop the sabnzbd process:

#!/usr/local/bin/bash
#shutdown.sh
fetch http://127.0.0.1:8085/sabnzbd/shutdown? ... XXXXXXXXXX >> /dev/null

XXXXXXXXXXXXXX is replaced with my SabNZBD API key.

But on Nas4Free i get the following error:

: Operation not supported/null

Also when i do a test:

nas:/mnt/Data_0# mv test.txt /dev/null
mv: rename test.txt to /dev/null: Operation not supported

Does this work in a different way?

My build: 9.1.0.1 - Sandstorm (revision 236)

There are a warnig to not install 9.1.0.1 rev236 until some bugs were solved, please rever to 9.0.0.1 rev XXX and try it, probably it works.

Hi, thanks! At the moment i will not downgrade and can live with it for now ;)

No workaround for this available? Since i use the full install there might be something i can do myself. But i could not find usefull information about this issue.

A workaround for you would be to write the ouput not to /dev/null but to /tmp/SabNZBD or similar.
If I am not mistaken, /tmp is cleared on shutdown/boot anyway.
