Hello all,

there is a maintenance release (v0.5.3) of this extension available => [EXTENSION] Extended GUI.

Version 0.5.3 and higher needs at least NAS4Free 10.3.0.3.2853 !

For a list of changes take a look at the Version History. Updates can be performed directly via the extension maintenance tab in the WebGUI.

This release solves PHP7 incompatibilities introduced with the first release of NAS4Free 10.3 series and includes also the second UPS at the System Status page. Further older reported bug fixes will come within the next few days.

Regards

Today I update nas4frее to 2898. Extended GUI 0.5.2.1 works perfectly without his upgrade to 0.5.3!

Funny enough, on my backup server I still had Extended GUI v0.5b1
Just upgraded to 10.3.0.3 - Pilingitam (revision 2898) and egui works...
I will upgrade to latest egui, though, in the next few minutes and follow up on this.. :)
EDIT:Upgraded to latest egui: All still fine! Once again thanks for the great work!

Thanks for reporting, it depends on the server configuration but anyway, further bug fixes and new features will be implemented on top of 0.5.3 ... ;)

You could easily patch index.php in /YourExtensionsPath/extended-gui/files with the following code

Code: Select all

    		<input name="ada3" type="submit" class="formbtn" onclick="<?php exec('camcontrol standby ada3 -t 300');?>" title="<?=gettext("camcontrol standby ada3 -t 300");?>" value="<?=gettext("Standby ada3");?>">
- insert this after the line

Code: Select all

<?php if (isset($config['extended-gui']['buttons'])) { ?>
- open the eGUI configuration page, activate the function buttons and hit Save
than you will have the new button on the system status page.

The above command will be executed when you press the button BUT you will see the standby state stopped with a delay of up to 1 minute (depends on the value of 'System calls service delay time' in the eGUI configuration page).

I am running v0.5.3 on 10.3.0.3.2898. Can you explain why ada2 is showing -70% and the temp is n/a on ada3? I am figuring that the 0 °C is because those are part of a hardware raid on an hp ml350 gen9. Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Thanks

Wow, interesting drive configuration you have ... ;)

This looks similar like the problem Raul reported already, I will let you know which information I need ...

Did you already tried this suggestion?

For debugging please send me a PM with
  1. the output of Diagnostics|Information|S.M.A.R.T. for all SSDs - interesting because the SSD lifetime values are more or less vendor specific and I have to analyze this -70% thing ...
  2. the output of Disks|ZFS|Pools|Information
  3. the file CONFIG2 from /var/scripts
  4. the output of the command

    Code: Select all

    df -k
  5. the zfs section from config.xml - everything between <zfs> ... </zfs> - needed because of the doubled entry of ada3 in your second pool
  6. the mounts section from config.xml - everything between <mounts> ... </mounts>
phuu ... I know, a lot of information but this would give me a good overview of the configuration ... ;)

ok I will get you this info, but ada3 double entry is expected. It is partitioned for both cache and logs. Also if you could look at ada0 it has no lifetime value.

Thanks for this awesome gui extension--the email alarms and graphs are very useful!

I have a small problem with this version when enabling display of ZFS datasets:

After enabling this function, web gui doesn't work anymore; only shows an error on apply.
rebooting doesn't help; web client just shows loading, but never loads.
My *guess* is it's because the path has more than 1 level and the slashes confuse ?something?
After manually stripping the extended gui section from config.xml, rebooting, then reinstalling (and not enabling that feature), the rest of it works.

The graphs and email alerts are most important to me, but I would like to show the zfs datasets as well.
Thanks for any help you can give!

some more details...

Yes, but I need to change ada3 by ada1 that is my desired Disk:

Code: Select all

<input name="ada1" type="submit" class="formbtn" onclick="<?php exec('camcontrol standby ada1 -t 300');?>" title="<?=gettext("camcontrol standby ada1 -t 300");?>" value="<?=gettext("Standby ada1");?>">

Hello karlandtanya,
karlandtanya wrote:Thanks for this awesome gui extension--the email alarms and graphs are very useful!

Thank you :)
Yes, I have to rewrite the dataset part to get rid of this ...
Thanks for the data, it's very helpful!

This friend also found then GUI corruptet and then - not.
With particular jail (torrentmonitor - a bot for authomatically checking torrent trackers for newer versions) running at TheBrig we see ExtGUI corruption. If we stop this jail - ExtGUI revert to normal.
To be even more confusing, the same torrentmonitor jail, but run under qjail do not provide corruption.
Also the other jails, running under TheBrig (I have deluge and qBittorrent for testing purposes) do not provide corruption to Ext GUI
If you have Therig installed, I could make tar from this jail and send to you. Also probably help of alexey123 could be need in case if you deceide to climb so deep (understandable if not, by the way...)

Yes, please send me the tar of this jail, would make it easier to debug this thing ...

Try to restart eGUI from within the WebGUI, if the problem persists please send me a PM with
  1. the output of Diagnostics|Information|S.M.A.R.T. for all SSDs - interesting because the SSD lifetime values are more or less vendor specific and I would like to analyze if there are lifetime values ...
  2. the output of Disks|ZFS|Pools|Information
  3. the file CONFIG2 from /var/scripts
  4. the output of the command

    Code: Select all

    df -k
  5. the zfs section from config.xml - everything between <zfs> ... </zfs> - needed because of the doubled entry of ada3 in your second pool
  6. the mounts section from config.xml - everything between <mounts> ... </mounts>

Hello Crest,

Thanks for your check list, it allows me to understand why there is the issue.
After modification of my hardware, I forgot to synchronize in Disks|ZFS|Configuration|Synchronize. So current and detected pool were not the same...

I synchronized, I disabled eGui and I enabled eGui : it works.

I will send you via PM the SMART section of ssds.

Thanks for all your developments.

Hi, crest!

I think I found the bug, below there is a patched index.php file.
index.php
Please replace the existing file (/YourExtensionsPath/extended-gui/files/index.php) on your server with the patched file and restart eGUI from within the WebGUI (it requires at least NAS4Free 10.3.0.3.2853).

The patch solves the issue with the duplicated pools on STATUS | SYSTEM.
