Please try to synchronize the pool with Disks|ZFS|Configuration|Synchronize and see if the temps are shown correctly after this.

Hi again
In reference to my post from back in February, I just did some updates last week - now I'm on 10.3.0.3 - Pilingitam (revision 2898)
and I've updated eGUI to 0.5.3

Without eGUI enabled I get the correct Free Space in my pools but the grapics have gone haywire - a problem for a while now:

Image

But when I enable eGUI the pool, load, memory and cpu graphics are back working but the Free Space is way out again:

Image

I also noticed that the purge button below is now missing (with eGUI enabled) which previously helped by updating the correct Free Space for a couple of seconds before returning to the wrong values.
Also refreshing my browser previously had the same effect but doesn't work anymore.

Any ideas on this please?

Many thanks!

Northwinds wrote:Hi
Yes it is the same with eGUI disabled.
Thanks.

I cleared a bit of space and now have 6.9G free,
which under df -h is correct but when I click back on the status>system tab the pool initially shows the 6.9G free

Image

and then changes back to the higher and inacurate 123G free.

Image

Is this a bug?

Many thanks!

Northwinds wrote:Hi there
I've been using Extended GUI for a while now - many thanks, I find it very useful!
I just have a small problem that one of my pools are showing on the status page as having 115GB more available than is actually on the 2 zfs datasets in it.
Any ideas why this should be?
They are both shared via cifs and afp where they both give me the lower free space.
many thanks!
Thank you!

Please compare the size with that shown on the zfs pool management pages but be aware that there are differences in 'free space' and 'available space'.
You can also compare the size on the status page with the size of the CLI command df -h, this shows the free space and should be the same as on the status page.

Regards
crest
Looks like an old bug raised again, pls do my a favour, disable eGUI and check if this happens on the original status page too ...

In reference to my post from back in February, I just did some updates last week - now I'm on 10.3.0.3 - Pilingitam (revision 2898)
and I've updated eGUI to 0.5.3
...
But when I enable eGUI the pool, load, memory and cpu graphics are back working but the Free Space is way out again:

I also noticed that the purge button below is now missing (with eGUI enabled) which previously helped by updating the correct Free Space for a couple of seconds before returning to the wrong values.
Also refreshing my browser previously had the same effect but doesn't work anymore.
About the purge Button - please check if the Functions Checkbox in Extended GUI configuration page is checked and purge is enabled under the Tools tab.
About the Free Space - pls show the ZFS page as well as the output of df -h command to compare with the output of eGUI.

Actually that is interesting Crest as the zfs page is wrong as well:

Image

The df -h results from terminal are as follows:

Code: Select all

nas4free: /# df -h /mnt/pool_1
Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
pool_1 105G 1.2M 105G 0% /mnt/pool_1
nas4free: /# df -h /mnt/pool_2
Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
pool_2 817G 1.9G 815G 0% /mnt/pool_2
nas4free: /# df -h /mnt/pool_3
Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
pool_3 2.9G 294M 2.6G 10% /mnt/pool_3
pool_2 and pool_3 are as I expected but pool_1 is very odd!

The purge button is there and enabled in the tools section - I just was used to it at the bottom of the status page - however clicking it doesn't change the Free Space display.

Thanks.

Hang on ... there is something strange!

In your post viewtopic.php?p=70769#p70769 you wrote
Without eGUI enabled I get the correct Free Space in my pools but the grapics have gone haywire - a problem for a while now:
Without eGUI you should get the standard status page ... pls remove eGUI with the maintenance page and than restart your server, you should get a page like this ...
screen_20160831_204341.png
Than please check again the pool values ...

You could easily patch index.php in /YourExtensionsPath/extended-gui/files with the following code

Code: Select all

    		<input name="ada3" type="submit" class="formbtn" onclick="<?php exec('camcontrol standby ada3 -t 300');?>" title="<?=gettext("camcontrol standby ada3 -t 300");?>" value="<?=gettext("Standby ada3");?>">
- insert this after the line

Code: Select all

<?php if (isset($config['extended-gui']['buttons'])) { ?>
- open the eGUI configuration page, activate the function buttons and hit Save
than you will have the new button on the system status page.

The above command will be executed when you press the button BUT you will see the standby state stopped with a delay of up to 1 minute (depends on the value of 'System calls service delay time' in the eGUI configuration page).
Did you already tried this suggestion?

Hi Crest,
I tested the sugestion by copying the order and I about problem. The command is issued as soon as one is on the home page without pressing the button and restarts each page refresh. I tried with another command (scrub) and ca gave the same problem.

Sorry if my English is not very good.

Which language are you using for nas4free ?

English or other ?

I seen in the past that if you keep the native language of nas4free (english) it solves some issues in the interface.

Hello crest,
I have used raulfg3´s file index.php and restart eGUI. (with nas4free in English).
I managed to make buttons here based on those defined for the plex extension.

After the line

Code: Select all

<?php if (isset($config['extended-gui']['buttons'])) { ?>
To display buttons

Code: Select all

<div id="submit">
                <input name="start" type="submit" class="formbtn" title="<?=gettext("Start Plex Media Server");?>" value="<?=gettext("Start Plex");?>" />
                <input name="stop" type="submit" class="formbtn" title="<?=gettext("Stop Plex Media Server");?>" value="<?=gettext("Stop Plex");?>" />

But please keep in mind that you save your inserted code somewhere because you have to patch index.php again if you upgrade eGUI (maybe I will check for the existence of an include file so the insertion could be done automatically - we can test something if you like).

There is a beta (v0.6-b3) of eGUI available via OBI (you must enable Beta releases under Extensions|OneButtonInstaller 0.3.3|Configuration and hit Save to see Betas in the extensions list) which:

@bgold: should solve the ada3 issue like described here => viewtopic.php?f=71&t=6405&start=420#p69954

@ernie: can be used for your suggestion as decribed here => viewtopic.php?f=71&t=6405&start=390#p68162
As a prerequisite the additional parameter -d sat must be entered at Disks|Management|Disk|Edit => S.M.A.R.T. extra options at the affected disks.

Hello, crest!
I initiated a manual scrub on my first pool and this is what I see on the index:
Capture.PNG
Before starting the scrub, my first pool appeared normally, like the second one
I am using 10.3.0.3 - Pilingitam (revision 2942) and Extended GUI 0.5.3
EDIT: Just to be sure, I started a scrub on a second NAS and the behavior is constant:
Capture1.PNG
After stoppping the scrub process, the display returns to normal in both cases

Hi all, is that possible to have one day , a gui for manage clusters on all node ?

like a menu call cluster, and where we could build, manage it and have all informations/setting of it
-- create cluster
--- name master node + ip managed
--- name slave node + ip managed

-- setup cluster
--- active service with common setting
--- deploy addons on both node
--- ....

-- monitoring status
--- hardware of both node
--- services status
--- param network
--- link status
--- witch node is master

it's juste an suggestion, but i think that will be a good evolution for managed funly a cluster.

thx

Cluster Pfsense (end)
Cluster ESXI /Hyperv (standby)
Cluster NAS/SAN (in project)

It's a know bug in 0.5.3, please try the 06-beta (in OBI), this one is (should be) solved already.

Sounds interesting but to be honest I don't have any knowledge about clusters (once I tried to setup in a VM but this wasn't really successful), If you can provide some infos/how tos I could try to to build something useful ...

Yes.
The fact is. I was using 0.5.2.1 with r2545. The I updated N4F and ExtGUI (to 0.5.3).
I had issue with the new release of N4F (r2942) so I reverted back to r2545 (before doing that I disinstalled ExtGUI).
But now I can't install it anymore.
Maybe there is some leftover from 053 that block the installer, but I've no idea where to look.

Best Regards
Jack

Hello Crest,
Indeed, it would be good for the update if you could automatically patch to the right place our personalized buttons.
I am ready to test script if necessary.
If not for novices, the ideal would be to create customized buttons for the GUI inteface. I makes me realize that the work would be much heavier and what you do is already huge. Maybe another step?
