pkg_add -rv failing, trying to install openvpn

So I'm following a Lifehacker guide on installing OpenVPN onto a NAS box and have been encountering this error
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports ... se/Latest/

Code: Select all

# pkg_add -rv openvpn
scheme: [ftp]
user: []
password: []
host: [ftp.freebsd.org]
port: [0]
document: [/pub/FreeBSD/ports/amd64/packages-9.2-release/Latest/openvpn.tbz]
---> ftp.freebsd.org:21
looking up ftp.freebsd.org
Error: Unable to get ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/amd64/packages-9.2-release/Latest/openvpn.tbz: No address record
pkg_add: unable to fetch 'ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/amd64/packages-9.2-release/Latest/openvpn.tbz' by URL
pkg_add: 1 package addition(s) failed
I have tried different ftp sources, all of which I can access in my browser and see that openvpn.tbz is, in fact, there.

I was having the same problem but could not find openvpn

I did see something indicating openvpn had issues due to heartbleed. Regardless has anyone found a workaround?

Now it's time to go for the pkgng...or try to change the PACKAGESITE to:
setenv PACKAGESITE http://ftp-archive.freebsd.org/pub/Free ... kages/All/
There's a package of OpenVPN version2.3.2 and an old one version 2.2.2.
