Second LAN adapter slow speed on ftp

#1

Post by ptpstudio » 01 Aug 2015 17:39

Is possible fix issue with second LAN adapter speed? I running 2 lan adapters Main is giving full speed while download or upload from ftp.
While I connect to second LAN adapter speed is on 1/3 speed of first main LAN.
I try switch adapters, Directly connect to NAS (no router or routing between pc and NAS) but resold always same. Second LAN adapter is much slower for FTP file transfer then main. For sure is blocked within NAS4free root. Both LAN cards in PCIX 1Gps speed. Actual speed 30000KB/s going from second LAN on main LAN is about 85-90000KB/s. Files coming from same disk. No any another users connected to NAS while testing.

what is the actual hardware of the nic.

are they on the same subnet or different ones?
Nas4Free 11.1.0.4.4517. Supermicro X10SLL-F, 16gb ECC, i3 4130, IBM M1015 with IT firmware. 4x 3tb WD Red, 4x 2TB Samsung F4, both GEOM AES 256 encrypted.

Adapters are this one
http://uk.tp-link.com/products/details/ ... ifications
Before I use onboard LAN adapter and samething
Of course each adapter on different IPs.

realtek chips are not the best and can cause strange results sometimes.

and i did not ask about ip i asked about subnet.

Different subnet. I change role of adapter Main to second but again speed on second is slower. On same adapter before as a main speed is full. Are You sure nothing within nas4free block speed of second adapter?

no.
the only thing i could think of of the top of my head was that they were on the same subnet. this would cause severe delays because that would be a broken setup and cause massive packet loss.

do an iperf check and ping test on both interfaces.

I check it. Have I do anything with MTU? Now I have it blank.
