Embedded upgrade went fine for me (as did 7373). Certainly not a big deal, but I see there are some placeholder symbols in the Navbar options. Just me?

Cleared everything. Looks like it might be a MS Edge (Chrome) problem. B&W partial icon set in Edge, colorful full set in Firefox.

EDIT - Machine specific problem. Edge Chrome works fine on another machine, as do other browsers. Not your problem.
Problem machine is Win2012R2 (basically Win8.1) wjth Edge Chromium. Must be the combo.

You'll find many posts about the emoji issue on the internet, but none of them was able to solve my issues.
My solution was to install Google's Noto Color Emoji font on my Linux workstation, then I reconfigured my NAS with the below steps:

- Create a file in a permanent location on your NAS, i.e dataset css on pool p1, and call it myguichanges.css.
- Copy and paste the below into myguichanges.css:

Code: Select all

body,
td,
th,
input,
select
{
	font-family: Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif, Noto Color Emoji;
}
- Goto System > General > WebGUI, in section CSS Settings > GUI, append myguichanges.css to the default css file and save the changes.
system_webgui.png
- Refresh your browser.

Looks like the color emoji font is a Win10 thing, but makes me wonder where Firefox gets the images if it doesn't use the system settings.

EDIT - OK, looked through the files in FF and found TwemojiMozilla.ttf in the \Fonts folder. Installed that and bang. Got 'em. Was in the process of doing your CSS edits, etc., but logged in to do the append and they were there already.

EDIT 2 - OK, Tried to do the same thing on a Win7 box, but didn't work. Just get the B&W icons. But FF still gives color. Tried to do the CSS edits (but listing the Twemoji Mozilla font), and the icons just disappeared entirely.

No problem here, just leaving this in case someone finds it useful.

It seems to be working for me. I can open/browse/download. I have to login to use. I don't use it normally, I use WinSCP. Are you getting the login screen? Tried clearing the browser?

Language set to 'autodetect' is causing the issue, please change to your language in System > General Setup or wait for the next release.
