Hi Bruce.

From the readme file:

Note for Full install users.
============================
Make sure you first upgraded to XigmaNAS-x64-full-11.3.0.4.7272.tgz before you flash full-.txz files.
The new (.txz) full upgrade files are compressed images.

You just need to Upgrade form the XigmaNAS-x64-full-11.3.0.4.7383.tgz .TGZ file first, then upgrade to the latest, this is due we changed upgrade file to .TXZ format for a better compression ration and to halve the file size.

Alternatively you can also skip the pre-requicite upgrade version by visiting HERE executing once the appropriate workaround regarding the version, may require browser cache cleanup.

Hi, that lot of "bbbbb.........." may be probably caused by a faulty key on the Keyboard, of course if you are running the NAS form a laptop or with an attached Keyboard, just login to console and hitting [Ctrl+L] may clean the screen unless the key are continuously pressed since faulty, you can also tab slightly hard on said key also which sometimes help disengage the contacts(mostly membrane) in said Keyboard.

If this "bbbbb.........." is followed by spatial colors in the screen and/or machine is just frozen, please run a memtest86+ to detect for possible faulty memory/controller, I've seen this alot with lines along the screen mostly, but can also happens with random letters and symbols too.

EDIT: Login and saw the images, indeed your issue is a faulty key in the Keyboard, you can get a quick replacement KB for that laptop unless the Keyboard is permanently attached to the laptop top plate, in such situation, you need to carefully remove the rivets to replace it, between since it happens at initial boot time, this quick tells that it is not caused by a later loaded software either, which is indication of faulty hardware.

please consider to revise your keyboard, perhaps your "b" key is dirty or somethins that can be read as a "pressed key".

Hello,

with this version I have some performance problems. When I use the NAS for backup purposes, I got in the Backup-Verify process a read speed of the Data at the NAS of 30-40 MB/s whereas in earlier versions I had up to 100 MB/s. Does anyone have some ideas for Tuning in this version please ?

I added my sysctl file (also as Excel)
sysctl.txt
sysctl.xlsx
