[HOWTO] - Why use a Compact Flash Card - Embedded
There are several reasons:
1) Low-power consumption
2) No heat generation
3) No noise generation
4) No moving mechanical parts
5) Easy removable & re-programmable (with Linux, Windows, Apple)
6) More reliable then a harddisk
7) Very small footprint
8) Cheaper than a new modern harddisk
9) It just works
I'm happy with it...
Thanks.
Larry

or take a look for these IDE Flash Module's - available 40Pin & 44Pin IDE
""http://ec.transcendusa.com/product/prod ... asp?Cid=59""
no need to buy an extra CF to IDE Adapter
works excellent for me
