9.3.0.2 AFP TimeMachine

#1

Post by Liis » 11 Jan 2015 17:23

Hello!
I've just updated to 9.3.0.2 ver 1283 and found that there is no more possibility to set up TM option in AFP shares.
So is it still possible to do it?

And i've found new field - auxiliary parameters, but i can't find what are they?
Any combinations like:

timemachine=yes
tm
and others...

doesn't work.

Can smbd help me?
Thanks a lot

I have the same issue/request: to have stable support for TImeMachine support under AFP/Netatalk.

I'm running 9.3.0.2 rev. 1283 (embedded), and run tm support with the "dirty fix" in AppleVolumes.default & kill -HUP afpd.

I'd really appreciate a prioritization of AFP in Nas4Free; including an update to netatalk ver. 3.x

Happy new year - and thanks for a great project!

Can you tell us the new parameter in AppleVolumes.default?
I've tried with options:usedots,tm without results.
tks

Well, maybe didn't restart properly (kill -HUP), and your added "tm" gets overwritten?

Anyhow; update to newest build, and everything works perfect: simply add "time machine = yes" to auxillary options on the particular share.
