Backup / duplicate the storage content on a second NAS

#1

Post by foxdoismil » 21 Nov 2018 02:15

I use a NAS at home and a second one at Office. They are identical, but the contents are not the same (yet).
I intend to use the home NAS to hold a copy (backup) of the office NAS.

So far I saw at least 3 different candidates in xigmaNAS: Syncthing, Rclone and Zrep.

I would appreciate some information regarding which option is the best.
Is there a comparative topic? Is any of them capable of incremental/differential backups? Is it possible to keep time stamps, owners groups and other attributes?

Thanks a lot for any help provided
