Hello everyone. I've been using xigmanas for two years. Everything was basically normal before. But recently, when I upgraded to P7-6315, I often got a re0 watchdog timeout error. The shortest occurrence time is less than 8 hours. Causes the entire NAS to lose the connection. Every time it has to be restarted, it has to be normal. In the past, the longest time I didn't restart the record was 80 days. Now there are errors in about 1 or 2 days to restart.
I checked Google, and I've changed the configuration to add hw. pci. enable_msi and hw. pci. enable_msix in sysctl. conf, but it still can't be solved. I wonder why the previous version didn't have this error, but after 6315, there was a lot of this error.
What is the best way to solve this problem?

It comes from having a realtek nic. If you switch to intel, you'll never have the issue again.

You can grab an intel based network card for pretty cheap.

I think you can try whilst waiting for a replacement NIC, loading a previous version of the driver. I would try anyways. Get the older if_re.ko driver and try, maybe?
