smbd errors causing share disconnects

#1

Post by thesugarat » 12 Feb 2019 04:21

Hello all,

Long time user of this software, started on freenas, then forked over to nas4free and now on the rebranded xigmanas. I have two xigmanas machines and this issue is happening on both. I have have cifs/samba shares on both mapped to a Windows 10 VM but it loses connectivity randomly after many days of these errors showing up in the log. I even loose access to the webgui... I can restart the webgui to get to the page again but the only thing that fixes the issue is a reboot. I've found that if I "log-out" of the shared drives from my main MacPro running High Sierra, the logs don't fill up. I've been dealing with it for months but as I hadn't changed anything in this configuration for quite some time I figured it was a samba bug and waited for the next update to xigmanas. But upgrading hasn't fixed anything. I am willing to concede that is connected to using OSX but I don't know how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated...
