#1

Post by maobernie » 14 Jun 2019 07:11

Hi, I am new to Xigmanas, I have installed on my NAS device few days ago and can login webgui in LAN network.

After config zerotier service on NAS in LAN, I want to access NAS in other network. However, I can't access webgui, web page show refused request information but can login by ssh service.I have enabled host allow switch. Sadly, this question confused me for a long time. Thanks for any help! thanks!

Controlling access to the WebGUI is dead simple, by default the local network is granted access.
If you want to allow access to more than one network you have to maintain the 'Hosts Allow' information or you can add them to the additional parameters section on the same configuration page.

If your XigmaNAS server has IP address 192.168.0.257 and your network is 192.168.0.0/24, hosts allow is

Code: Select all

192.168.0.257/24 127.0.0.1
Internally this configuration translates into the following settings for lighttpd:

Code: Select all

$HTTP["remoteip"] == "192.168.0.257/24" { url.access-deny = ( "~", ".inc", ".htpasswd" ) }
$HTTP["remoteip"] == "127.0.0.1" { url.access-deny = ( "~", ".inc", ".htpasswd" ) }
If your 2nd network is 172.19.0.0/16 and you want to grant access to the WebGUI, hosts allow must be

Code: Select all

192.168.0.257/24 172.19.0.0/16 127.0.0.1
which results in the following settings in lighttpd.conf:

Code: Select all

$HTTP["remoteip"] == "192.168.0.257/24" { url.access-deny = ( "~", ".inc", ".htpasswd" ) }
$HTTP["remoteip"] == "172.19.0.0/16" { url.access-deny = ( "~", ".inc", ".htpasswd" ) }
$HTTP["remoteip"] == "127.0.0.1" { url.access-deny = ( "~", ".inc", ".htpasswd" ) }
