local network, lost connection, can i access the xigmanas box

i have a server running xigmanas on my home network.
it has been working for around 6 months without issue.
i booted it up this morning and my pc cannot find it ... i have no access to the network folders i set up, i also cannot ping the ip address - a ping fails.

can i cannot acces the xigmanas! can i just plug a keyboard and monitor into the server (eg the xigmanas computer) i wondering if there is a problem with the ethernet port.

at worst if i took the hard discs out of the server how can i read the data on them?

thanks.

Yes, this is the best way to get it resolved.
there is a menu to do various things, so you don't have to know BSD commands.
You can verify the IP address, ping out to test the network, etc.
