Can i try 12.1xx use "Embedded" at USB disk?

I had "Full" RootOnZFS 11.3.xx in my disk. I want try 12.1xx use "Embedded" at USB disk. Can i just install "Embedded" at USB disk,and start system from "Embedded" at USB disk, and then restore the backup configration from "Full" RootOnZFS 11.3.xx. That can working??

yes, you can do a new embeded install and then restore your previosly saved config from 11.3
12.0.0.4 (revision 6766)+OBI on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 12x3TB disk in 3 vdev in RaidZ1 = 32TB Raw size only 22TB usable

Hello, upgrades from RootOnZFS 11.3 to 12.1 can be safely done from WebGUI with the latest .TGZ, and you can rollback to 11.3 without hassle if the new 12.1 release don't appeals to you, since RootOnZFS has no root partition limitations.

However as raulfg3 said, yes you can always save config install Embedded to an USB stick and import back the config once booted for the USB.
