NAS4Free Live USB reboots system instead of installation

Hi!

I'm trying to install NAS4Free on an old (2007-ish) pre-assembled computer with a new PSU and HDD. The installation would be done to an USB stick.
I tried this with a CD too, with the same results.

When I boot up the computer, all goes well until it tells me to choose to boot NAS4Free either "normally" or in safe mode (some other choices were there as well). When I choose "normally", it loads for some time and then reboots. What could be the problem?

I'm not quite sure exactly since the computer is not mine, but a neighbor's. It's an HP Mediacenter pre-assembled with 2GB of RAM and 0,5GB of VRAM. That's all I know.

Hi,

and thank you for your replies. I replaced the CMOS battery but the problem remains. I have no idea what could be causing it.

try to install BSD pure and linux (eg: debian), to discard problems in the boot code of both O.S

PD: BSD is the base system of N4F and the boot loader & installer is based on the standart BSD installer, so if fails, your motherboard are not compatible with BSD=N4F
