Install 'embedded' OS on HDD/Flash/USB + DATA + SWAP

I want to add CUPs to my NAS4Free install so I chose "Install 'embedded' OS on HDD/Flash/USB + DATA + SWAP partition" and upon reboot I do not see any extra space anywhere. Does it automount the DATA partition or do I need to format it? If I need to format it, where is the best place to mount it so I can use it for pkg_add?

Am I better off add a smallish (250GB HDD) to boot from and do a full install so I can easily setup CUPS?

do not have valuable data on boot disk , please separe boot and data for safe use.

If you do a full install, do not define swap ( not needed), and when promt about space for boot partition change default (386MB) to something like 2GB or so ( no need to use all space on disk), space left can be used to define temp for transmission, fuppes or so on (data and databases not critical if you need to reinstall N4F).
