Cant Install, Cant select destination

Hi,

i am trying to install 9.2.0.1.943 from LiveUSB to my HDD.

Selecting any of the "Install" options shows me the warning, lets me select installation media and then throws me back into the Install & Upgrade Options Menu.

I have currently no cdrom available to test it with that.

Is this a know bug or am i doing anything wrong?

I've the same problem... I've internal USB flash drive (connect to IDC10 on motherboard) and can not remove them while liveUSB\liveCD is booting :(

925 is also not installing. In both version, when selecting the Install-Option for the first time, there is an Error display for about 0.2 seconds, but more than "Error" i could never read.

9.1.0.1.847 recognizes my disks correctly and lets me install

As i suggest this is a driver problem, here my hardware config:

ASRock FM2A85X-ITX
AMD A8-6500
2x 4G RAM (G-Skill
1x SanDisk SSD 64GB (SDSSDP-064G-G25)
3x Toshiba HDD 3TB (DT01ACA300)

Problems deteccted in USB in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=5879

Please do install in other PC and put boot device in your NAS.

EG: If you want to do a embeded install in a USB key, you can download *.img and burn into your USB boot device in your desktop PC, next you only need to plug boot USB key in your NAS and try to boot.

You can also do a full install in other PC and plug boot device in your NAS (warnning: be totally sure what is your boot device or unplug all disk in your destop PC to avoid confusion)

I want to install on the SSD and (at least from my view) have no problems with the USB-key itself. Or am i just reading the other topic wrong?

I use industrial grade SATA or PATA flash and they do just fine for the embedded

I always load from a CD but the live USB flash is the same if the hardware boots USB

perhaps is a missunderstanding for my side.

I understand that you boot N4F USB live ( try to install from a USB to a SSD disk), and if this is your case , thread have sense if your USB dissaperar.

If not is the case, sorry is a missunderstanding

yes, you understood me right

I want to install from LiveUSB to my SSD

But my Stick doesn't disappear, i just cant select the destination.
While installing 847 again, i noticed that the "select source" shows also the name of the stick. WIth 847 this was for me "da0: Jetflash Transcend Stick"
WIth 925 or 947 this is only "da0"

But i can normally attach and detach sticks, get the dmesg notifications and can access them.

Maybe i am getting the topic in the other topic just wrong :)

+1, absolutely the same problem...

Unfortunately, It's too difficult to physical remove of internal USB disk (system, da0) during setup, so I rolled back 847...
