Found a Bug!

Post by BrickedBox »

Hi All,

Could not find a bug report forum, so here it is.

Using a JBOD NAS setup
Win8 File Explorer, drive is NAS drive is mapped as M: with reconnect at logon
Three Folders on it.
The first folder "M:\Downloads" is 9.3GB and 7,600 files
In File Explorer I dragged M:\Downloads to the C: drive where C:\Downloads already exists with a lot of the files already there.
After about 3-minutes, the NAS server crashed with about 30 "Watchdog heartbeat error" or may have been "ticker" something or close to that.
It was repeatable so this time I watched the file names File Explorer was copying and they were a bunch of what looked like SYSTEM-files from the M:drive.
I did not recognize any of the file names and none had an file-extensions in the names, so, very unlikely to be windows files.
I rebooted the NAS server and ran the process again. Same result but only after about 9 Watchdog errors.

Please pass on to the appropriate developers.

or not. :)

plase post your SMB share I suspect that you share /mnt or /mnt/youJOBD and in this case, your files are stored in your boot disk, not in your JBOD Disk, so a crash is normal if you full your "/" filesystem.
12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)
