Can you give more information of your hardware, mainboard, processor, RAM, etc?
Did you plug your keyboard on USB3 port??

Re: Keboard freeze not able to install
There were some other USB errors reportet with NAS4free 9.2.x.x. try 9.1.x.x.
Btw, your board does not support ECC RAM, so don't use ZFS.

Re: Keboard freeze not able to install
Ok, I will try as you suggest.
but why not to use ZFS with no ECC RAM? a memory corruption is not the same for zfs and other filesystems?
I was thinking about install nas4free on usb key 16 GB and use all 6 drivers settings raid 10, any tips for a newbie?
wich file system you suggesto to use?
Thanks very much, your suggestions are very helpful

Re: Keboard freeze not able to install
It is different in ZFS, please read:but why not to use ZFS with no ECC RAM? a memory corruption is not the same for zfs and other filesystems?
http://forums.freenas.org/index.php?thr ... zfs.15449/
You can go with UFS and Software RAID e.g. RAID 5 or RAID 10 whatever you want. Just RAID 6 is not supported in N4F.wich file system you suggesto to use?

Re: Keboard freeze not able to install
all 3 of mine are non ECC and ZFS.
they are without problem;
I think.
with ECC I would know!
my backup is rotated across the 3 redundant NAS
I had the spare hardware then, but...
If I was buying new hardware today it would be ECC
I have never had a problem with any of these 3 NAS
but this hardware would never get through a day of mem-test

I did not keep it even though it appears to work fine.
