Problem after Install

I'm able to successfully install NAS4Free but when I try to configure the LAN interface and IP configuration by selecting either option 1 or 2 the only output I receive is below

/usr/lib/libhx509.so.10: Undefined symbol "oid_id_rsadsi_rc2_cbc"

I can't configure anything but the other menu options work such as rebooting the server or opening shell. Screenshot is below. Thanks!

Please provide more information about your hardware esspecially the NIC !

It's an old Dell Dimension 4700 workstation. 256mb, Pentium 4. Ethernet card is integrated to the motherboard. Model number of the board is E210882. Dell part number is M3918 DH682 Dimension 4700
Chipset: Intel D915 D915GOK 915G Express
Socket: LGA775
Front Side Bus Speed: 800Mhz FSB

Quite old, but could work in principle, many report about reuse of old P IV Systems.
Can you see the network chipset on mainboard, which one is used there ? Looks like Board is manufactured by Intel.
My first feeling is, the amount of memory might be somewhat low.

more RAM

also pull the BIOS battery and switch the jumper to restore factory defaults
[of course switch the jumper back and reinstall a new battery]
then set appropriately

be sure the on board NIC is enabled, or not if you wish to use a Gb lan expansion card

if you can fit a Gb of RAM it will be faster, but 384 Mb is about the absolute min for
current ver of N4F [PC-100 tested with a 366 celeron]
earlier ver did do imbedded with 256 [fn7-ish]

one thing I found with old dells is they only like to boot from the primary IDE
but if you are already to the nic set up you are past that problem.

Sorry, it has 2x 256 memory cards in it. I know it barely meets the minimum but thought it was worth a shot with a box I'm not really using. I'll try to reset the bios and get the network chipset when I'm out of work. Thanks for the help everyone.

two 256 Mb is 512Mb so it should do fine, just not enough for ZFS
I've used a UFS two drive soft raid mirror in these limited ram situations with good success.
it will be more than able to stream video files. just not stellar on file transfer speeds.
for top transfer speeds one needs more CPU cores, lots of memory and all 64 bit
the board seems to be 64 bit and can handle more memory

I tried a 1 core chip in a fast board and it was fairly fast

be sure to run the memory test to be sure all is stable

The issue was with the memory. I tried to install XP and couldn't. I swapped it out, now running 4Gb and able to install Nas4free. Going to play around with the settings and attach my 1Tb drive that has my media on it.

N4F shares drives with UFS and ZFS file format
some others it will mount to transfer files into the storage drives
it does not share drives formatted FAT NTFS EXT etc.

I have always dragged and dropped files to the network drives
or saved directly to the network drives
not the fastest but it works
