Possible bug report / problems with USB keyboards and sticks

Hi
New to Nas4free, but already while initially browsing the forums i see _so many_ posts related to this bug which i also have:
I'm running a brand new Asus P9D-C/4L motherboard and i have discovered that when booting the nas4free installer from USB stick in order to have my USB keyboard visible, i have to power cycle the motherboard completely, that means from the switch on the PSU. The reset button or cycling the power through the power button on the case will not work.
(might also relate to visibilty of the target USB stick for embedded install, altough i'm not sure of this as i don't have the time to test right now, maybe someone could confirm or deny),
You can see when booting an error message will flash by very quickly, using a PS/2 keyboard i dropped to shell and the message is:
usb_alloc_device: device init 2 failed (USB_ERR_IOERROR, ignored)
ugen0.2: <Unknown> at usbus0 (disconnected)
uhub_reattach_port: could not allocate new device
I have tried every available USB option in motherboard BIOS, and nothing has helped this issue.. Again, after atleast 30 reboots, trying to change every available USB related BIOS option, including disabling USB3 support, does nothing to remedy this issue.
As i see in the forums it is causing pretty massive confusion, let's try to fix this
regards, nomizfs
EDIT:
Forgot to mention this concerns release 9.2.0.1.972, i have now tested with later unofficial 9.3.x builds and can confirm the issue does not persist in later builds. After some discussion with the maintainers it seems most likely that this error is due to older kernels being run on new chipsets, the P9D-C/4L motherboard has the intel 224 haswell chipset.
So all in all to recap, if you have issues with keyboard not working, OR if after embedded install of 9.2.0.1.972 onto a target USB stick, you get an error message about nas4free not being able to load config.xml, and the bootprocess halts, then the only solution i have found to work is a full power cycle from the PSU power switch.
any attempt at booting either from the menu, the hardware reset switch or the power button will result in a nonresponsive keyboard and/or failed boot from embedded USB.
